The First Week

"When does the class start?"

Online classes begin on the first day of the semester (the same day as on-campus classes) and students are expected to log-in on this day. For web-hybrid classes, students are required to show up at the first class meeting. The first learning unit will be made available on day one and students will have one week to complete it. Get started early immediately. Expect to be overwhelmed for the first two weeks. I promise it will feel more manageable after that!

"Where is our class site?"

All the course material is posted on the Rancho Santiago Community College Blackboard site. Only students registered for the course can access the site. Students can access the Blackboard site by going to the site http://rsccd.blackboard.com. Please note the helpful handouts posted on the Are you ready? page.

"How do I log-in?"

To log in to Blackboard, students need their WebAdvisor username and password. If you need log-in assistance, please review the attachment below or go to the WebAdvior page. Please note that students must be enrolled in the course before he or she can log in Blackboard application.
